Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup frozen peas & carrots

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or store-bought)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)


‍ Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain excess fat.

  3. Add onion & garlic; cook until soft.

  4. Stir in peas/carrots, broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire, thyme, salt & pepper.
    Simmer 5–7 mins until slightly thickened.

  5. Transfer mixture to baking dish.

  6. Spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.

  7. Add cheddar cheese if using.

  8. Bake 20–25 minutes or until golden on top and bubbling.

  9. Let cool a few minutes — then dig in!
