🍍 Tropical Pineapple-Banana Smoothie

🍍 Tropical Pineapple-Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh pineapple chunks (frozen works too for a thicker texture)

  • 1 medium Ripe banana (the spottier, the sweeter!)

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or Coconut milk (for that creamy yellow color)

  • 1/2 cup Pineapple juice or cold water

  • 3–4 Fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)

  • 1/2 cup Ice cubes (optional, if using fresh fruit)

  • 1 tsp Honey or agave (optional, depending on fruit ripeness)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Fruit: Peel the banana and break it into chunks. If using fresh pineapple, slice off the skin and core, then dice into cubes. Set aside one small triangular wedge of pineapple for the garnish.

  2. Combine: Place the banana, pineapple, yogurt/coconut milk, and liquid base into a high-speed blender.

  3. Add Aromatics: Drop in the fresh mint leaves. This adds a subtle “coolness” that cuts through the tropical sweetness.

  4. Blend: Start on a low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for about 45–60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy.

  5. Adjust Consistency: * If it’s too thick, add a splash more juice.

    • If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes or frozen fruit and blend again.

  6. Serve: Pour into a tall faceted glass like the one in the photo.

To Style it Like the Photo

  • The Garnish: Cut a small slit in your pineapple wedge and perch it on the rim.

  • The Mint: Place a small sprig of mint right on top of the foam.

  • The Straw: Use a wide black smoothie straw to finish the look.

Pro Tip: For an even creamier “milkshake” texture, peel your bananas ahead of time and freeze them in segments.
