Savory Steak Bites and Penne in Cheesy Garlic Butter Sauce

Savory Steak Bites and Penne in Cheesy Garlic Butter Sauce
Ingredients:
12 oz penne pasta
1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 small onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
2 cups heavy cream
4 oz cream cheese, cubed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Season the steak pieces with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the steak and sear until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove the steak to a plate and set aside.
4. Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
5. Sprinkle the flour over the onion mixture and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream until smooth and slightly thickened.
6. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Reduce the heat to low and add the cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until the sauce is thick and creamy.
7. Return the steak and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Add the cooked penne pasta and toss to coat evenly in the cheesy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
