Garlic Butter Cod Strips with Sweet Chili Lime Sauce
Ingredients
For the Cod Strips
- 500g fresh cod fillets, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Sweet Chili Lime Sauce
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 1 tsp honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
For Garnish
- Fresh cilantro or parsley
- Lime wedges
Directions
Pat cod strips dry and season with smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 20–30 seconds until fragrant.
Add cod strips and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
Drizzle lemon juice over the fish during the last 30 seconds of cooking.
In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, lime juice, lime zest, honey, soy sauce, and chili flakes.
Serve cod strips with sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
Garnish with fresh herbs and lime wedges.
