🍓 Strawberry Banana Orange Smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes | Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
1 cup Fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
-
1 Large ripe banana (frozen is best for a creamy texture)
-
½ cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
-
½ cup Orange juice (freshly squeezed or high-quality store-bought)
-
1 tsp Honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
-
3–4 Ice cubes (only if using fresh fruit instead of frozen)
Instructions
-
Prep the Fruit: If you are using fresh strawberries, wash them and remove the green tops. If your banana is fresh, peel it and break it into chunks.
-
Combine: Add the orange juice and yogurt to the blender first (liquids at the bottom help the blades spin more easily). Add the strawberries and banana chunks on top.
-
Blend: Start the blender on a low speed to break up the large fruit pieces, then increase to high speed. Blend for 45–60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy.
-
Adjust Consistency: * If it’s too thick: Add a splash more orange juice.
-
If it’s too thin: Add a few more frozen strawberries or a couple of ice cubes.
-
-
Serve: Pour into tall glasses. As shown in your image, you can garnish the plate with a few fresh whole strawberries to complete the look.
Tips for the Perfect Texture
-
The “Sunset” Color: To get that specific orange-pink color from the photo, ensure you use about equal parts strawberries and orange juice. Using too many strawberries will turn it deep red; too much orange juice will make it yellow.
-
Creaminess: Using Greek yogurt is the secret to that thick, opaque look in the glass. For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt or a splash of coconut milk.
