A comforting and creamy casserole with tender broccoli and rich cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Steam broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Layer broccoli in a baking dish, pour the cream mixture over it, and top with cheddar cheese.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Use fresh broccoli for best results.
- Substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter version.
- Add cooked chicken for extra protein.
