Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
Wet Ingredients
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• ½ cup sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ cup buttermilk or milk
• ¼ cup oil
Apples
• 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp sugar
• ½ tsp cinnamon
Caramel Glaze
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 tbsp milk or cream
• Pinch of salt
• ¼ tsp vanilla

Prepare Apples
• Toss chopped apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
• Set aside.
Make the Batter
• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment.
• Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
• Beat the butter with both sugars until creamy.
• Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
• Add dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk and oil, mixing gently.
• Fold in the cinnamon apples.
Bake
• Transfer batter to the loaf pan and smooth the top.
• Bake until a toothpick comes out clean and the top is golden.
• Cool fully before adding glaze.
Make the Caramel Glaze
• In a small saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar and milk.
• Simmer briefly until smooth and slightly thickened.
• Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
• Drizzle over the cooled loaf.
