Chocolate-Cherry Smoothie
Ingredients (1 large or 2 small servings)
1 cup frozen cherries (sweet or tart)
1 medium banana (fresh or frozen, for creaminess)
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (or cacao powder for a richer flavor)
¾ cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond, oat, or soy)
¼ cup Greek yogurt (optional, for creaminess and protein)
1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
½ tsp vanilla extract
A pinch of salt (enhances the chocolate flavor)
Ice cubes (optional, for extra thickness)
Optional add-ins for nutrition:
1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (fiber + omega-3s)
1 scoop protein powder (chocolate or vanilla flavor)
1 tbsp nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew) for richness
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend on high until smooth and creamy (30–45 seconds).
Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness — add a bit more milk if too thick.
Pour into a glass and top with a few fresh cherries or dark chocolate shavings for a fancy touch.
Tip:
If using tart cherries, add a bit more sweetener or banana to balance the flavor.
If you like it extra thick (like a smoothie bowl), reduce the milk slightly and add a few ice cubes.
