Creamy Layered Dessert Full Recipe

This recipe creates a tri-layered dessert featuring a rich chocolate cream, a tangy passion fruit cream, and a bright lime cream topping.

Chocolate Cream

  • ​1 cup of grated milk chocolate
  • ​1 cup of milk
  • ​1 carton of heavy cream (8 oz)
  • ​1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • ​1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

Passion Fruit Cream

  • ​1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • ​1 cup of concentrated passion fruit juice
  • ​1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • ​1 carton of heavy cream (8 oz)

Lime Cream

  • ​Juice of 3 limes (about 1/3 cup)
  • ​1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

1. Prepare the Passion Fruit Cream (Bottom Layer)

  1. ​In a saucepan, thoroughly mix the sweetened condensed milk with the cornstarch until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.
  2. ​Add the passion fruit juice and the heavy cream.
  3. ​Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
  4. ​Remove from heat and pour into a glass dish, spreading evenly.
  5. ​Cover the dish with plastic wrap (directly touching the surface to prevent a skin) and refrigerate.

2. Make the Chocolate Cream (Middle Layer)

  1. ​In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the milk and set this mixture aside.
  2. ​In a separate saucepan, melt the grated chocolate with the heavy cream over low heat.
  3. ​Remove from heat, and stir in the reserved cornstarch and milk mixture and the sweetened condensed milk.
  4. ​Cook again over low heat, stirring, until it thickens and becomes glossy.
  5. ​Let cool slightly, then pour this chocolate cream over the chilled passion fruit cream layer in the glass dish. Spread evenly.
  6. ​Return the dish to the refrigerator.

3. Prepare the Lime Cream (Top Layer)

  1. ​In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the lime juice until the mixture becomes light and creamy.
  2. ​Remove the dish from the refrigerator and spread the lime cream evenly over the chocolate layer, smoothing it out.

4. Finish and Serve

  1. ​To finish, refrigerate the layered dessert for another hour before serving.
  2. ​Serve the creamy layered dessert directly from the glass dish.
