Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
-
1 (12 oz / 340g) bag white chocolate chips
-
1 (10 oz / 280g) bag mini marshmallows
-
1 cup red and green gumdrops, chopped (you can also use dried fruits, nuts, or chewy candy)
Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare the Pan
-
Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
-
Lightly grease it with butter or nonstick spray.
-
Set aside.
Step 2 – Melt the Base
-
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, white chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows.
-
Microwave for 1 minute on high.
-
Stir with a greased spatula until partially melted.
-
Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely smooth, melted, and silky.
(Don’t overheat — white chocolate can burn easily!)
Step 3 – Add the Mix-ins
-
Let the mixture cool for 1–2 minutes (this prevents your candies from melting).
-
Gently fold in the chopped gumdrops or your choice of mix-ins.
Step 4 – Set the Candy
-
Pour the mixture into your prepared pan.
-
Use the spatula to press it down evenly into a flat layer.
-
Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
Step 5 – Slice & Serve
-
Once set, lift the candy out of the dish using the parchment paper.
-
Peel off the paper and slice into bite-sized squares.
-
Store the pieces in an airtight container in the refrigerator for freshness.
Tips & Variations
-
For a holiday twist, use red and green gumdrops for a classic Christmas look.
-
Substitute gumdrops with chopped candied cherries, dried cranberries, or toasted nuts for a gourmet touch.
