Old Bay Baked Oyster Crackers

Ingredients

  • 4 cups oyster crackers
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional for color & flavor
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest optional for brightness
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the seasoning: In a small bowl, stir together Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and lemon zest if using.
  • Coat the crackers: Place the oyster crackers into a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted butter over the top and gently toss to coat evenly.
  • Add the seasoning: Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the crackers. Toss again until every cracker has a light, even coating.
  • Spread & bake: Transfer the seasoned crackers to the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until crisp and lightly toasted.
  • Cool completely on the tray. Once cooled, sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
  • Serve or store: Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
