- 1 ripe banana
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp oat flour or finely ground oats
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: a pinch of baking powder (for fluffier texture)
- Optional toppings: chocolate chips, nuts, or a dollop of yogurt
Instructions
1. Mash the Banana:
- In a microwave-safe mug or small bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
2. Add Ingredients:
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Stir in cocoa powder, oat flour, and baking powder (if using) until fully combined.
- Add optional chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
3. Microwave:
- Microwave on high for 1–2 minutes, checking at 1 minute. The cake should rise and be set in the middle.
- Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.
4. Serve:
- Let cool slightly before eating.
- Optional: top with a drizzle of honey, nut butter, or yogurt for added richness.
Tips:
- For a lighter version, omit chocolate chips and use unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Can be doubled to serve two in separate mugs.
